Our Story

Havéa was born by the sea.

Our founder, master hairstylist Paula Pedersen, grew up in a small beach town where Sundays meant packing lunches, heading to the shore, and soaking in the sun and salt air with her family. The ocean became more than a backdrop—it was a way of life, a ritual of calm and connection that stayed with her through every chapter.

But working behind the chair as an award-winning colorist, Paula began to feel the harsh effects of traditional salon products. Sensitivities to chemicals sparked a deeper question: What if beauty could feel as safe and nourishing as it was luxurious?

That question became Havéa.

The name comes from “hav,” the Norwegian word for sea—a nod to Paula’s heritage and her coastal roots. Every Havéa formula blends clean, bioadaptive science with the effortless ease of coastal living. Our products are designed to perform at the highest level while still honoring the body and the senses, with textures, fragrances, and rituals that feel like an escape.
